This place is a pleasant surprise The atmosphere was nice, small & pretty. The please has its story which is cool. The food was very good. There’s plenty options gluten free from pasta to beers & you name it. Staff is nice. Great experience

This is easily the best restaurant in Patagonia. The food is prepared with quality ingredients, the waiters are very friendly, and the owner is lovely as well. It is on the pricier side, but it’s worth it. You can tell this is more than just a restaurant. Oh by the way don’t forget to order a dessert! The menu is also completely gluten free

One of the best meals I’ve had in Argentina! The whole menu is gluten free and healthy, but it’s tasty even for those who eat gluten. As someone with Celiac Disease, it was very exciting to get to eat the rolls they served on the table and handmade ravioli. Staff were super nice too.

If you find yourself in El Calafate, go to la Zania immediately. This restaurant is not just a meal; it is a profound culinary experience that genuinely stands out, even after traveling extensively and dining in sophisticated cities like Buenos Aires. Simply put, we consider Zania one of the absolute best restaurants in the entire country. From the moment we stepped in, the experience was elevated by the genuinely amazing service and the incredible warmth of the owner. They have cultivated an atmosphere that is both intimate and welcoming, making every diner feel like a cherished guest. The attention to detail is flawless, and every recommendation was spot-on, demonstrating a passion for hospitality that is often lost in larger establishments. But while the service is five-star, the food is the true star of the show. The dishes we enjoyed were nothing short of sensational. Every plate delivered a beautiful combination of fresh, regional ingredients, exquisite technique, and bold flavor profiles. We were consistently impressed by the quality—it’s clear that only the best is served here. Having just come from Buenos Aires, where we dined at several highly-rated establishments, Zania completely surpassed our expectations and, astonishingly, topped our list. This is fine dining done right: authentic, deeply flavorful, and executed with immense care. Do yourself a favor and experience Zania. It’s a highlight of Patagonia and a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates truly exceptional Argentine cuisine.

Be prepared for it to be expensive and it will be brilliant. Probably the best meal we had in Patagonia - great lamb, steak and trout. Delicious wine. Great setting. Definitely recommend if budget is not the main concern.

Thank you Jorge & Team for this pleasant experience and service! The story of the restaurant is beautiful and so are the dishes. Every plate is made with intention and extraordinary taste. Everyone who would like to try local fresh food and get inspired by new creations, this is the place to go!

Amazing homey place, my favorite in El Calafate! The food is just so satisfying and the people are super nice and humble. If you are in El Calafate, this is the place to have a dinner at least once! There's a nice family photography wall with the people that opened the place and a beautiful open kitchen and outdoor terrace
